The end game. Just another list: 1966 - 2016

Over the past months I've posted several top 30 on the basis of "a game" played on a website called Musicmeter. Here once a year the MuMe top 40 is played, which is actually a compilation of the best 50 albums mentioned by the circa 100 people participating in the game. I decided to play this year as it was over thirty years that I scored my favourite albums. I was curious to see what had happened since. Well, a lot of my favourite albums from before that date you will find on top in 2016, but a lot of others have been added to this list.

This compilation is different from what happens next on MusicMeter. There the final list is tweaked. I have to chose from the best scoring albums over the decades played in (50s to today) in general. That makes it a lot less interesting for me. My top 30 did not really match the top 50 or even 100 published there. So to wind up this game season on WoNo Magazine, below you find what I at this point in time think are my favourite albums of all time.

No, before you start commenting, I am not sticking to what you have seen before. Some records I had forgotten to take in or have played since so they rank higher or lower, entered this list, without being mentioned before. Still, it's a nice overview for now, with albums from all decades, but the ones most dear to me are oldies, not surprisingly from among my first albums. Peruse and perhaps you are presented with a suggestion or two.
