The all-time best read/clicked on posts ever, 2012 - 2023

With 2023 behind us, the blog is getting close to its 13th birthday. With well over 4.400 posts, it has become a huge repository for mostly modern music, that is ageing as well. This year the excessive clicking seems to have disappeared, until just before Christmas it all of a sudden started once again. The new number one aside, that received 100s and sometime well over a 1000 clicks a week, consistently for months on end. Why? My theory is that it had live links in it. Soon after I replaced them with just the URLs, interest dwindled and levelled off. Fact is, the number one post is the only page that is alive and will be updated again soon on a certain birthday. This ought to guarantee it the number 1 spot over time anyway.

There remain days that an IP address in Singapore or Hong Kong or wherever starts to click and does not stop until every post has been clicked one, two or three times within a few hours or a single post from years ago over a hundred times within seconds. The reason remains beyond me. The circa 10 to 25 clicks a day, each day, on the most recent 25 posts, see 2019 in this list, has disappeared for years now but until very recently all other false clicks as well. New names in this list, will be hard to achieve. The two new ones this year re-enter, of which one album is not from 2019, so it got here on its own strength.
